Project Umeed Pathshala is an awareness and life-skills education initiative by Operation Smile Foundation dedicated to creating informed, healthy, and respectful communities.
Replacing hesitation with knowledge and stigma with dignity
For generations, conversations around sexual and reproductive health, menstruation, puberty, consent, and personal safety have been surrounded by hesitation and misinformation. This lack of awareness often creates confusion, fear, stigma, and unhealthy social attitudes.
β¨ Project Umeed Pathshala was established to bridge this knowledge gap through responsible, age-appropriate, and evidence-based education.
Our sessions encourage curiosity, promote dignity, and create safe spaces where participants can ask questions without judgment. We believe education is not limited to textbooksβit also includes learning how to respect ourselves, understand others, make informed choices, and contribute to healthier communities.

Adolescence is a period of significant physical and emotional change. Our programs help young people understand these changes with confidence, reducing confusion and encouraging healthy self-esteem.
Understanding consent, empathy, personal boundaries, and respectful communication equips young people with life skills that contribute to safer and more inclusive communities.
Myths and misinformation about HIV and sexually transmitted infections can increase fear and stigma. We provide scientifically accurate awareness that encourages prevention, understanding, and compassion.
Understanding consent, respecting boundaries, and recognizing personal rights are essential life skills. We promote respectful communication and mutual respect in every relationship.
Adolescence can be emotionally challenging. We encourage self-awareness, emotional resilience, stress management, and seeking support when needed.
Parents are a child's first teachers. We encourage open, age-appropriate conversations at home so children can grow up with trustworthy information, emotional support, and confidence.
Respect begins with understanding. Our sessions promote empathy, challenge harmful stereotypes, and encourage boys and girls to grow together with mutual dignity and equality.
